POP-UP flights: Florence lined up for late October

Launched by the Swiss regional airline last July, the ‘POP-UP’ flights concept offers flights to a constantly changing range of destinations for a limited period, with seats available for last-minute booking. Florence will take its turn as a Helvetic Airways POP-UP destination in late October 2020.

First Brac, Dubrovnik and Zakynthos stepped up to the plate. Now it’s the Tuscan capital’s time to shine, as Florence becomes a POP-UP flight destination. The birthplace of the Italian Renaissance has something for everyone – whether it’s the historic center, the iconic works of art or a round of golf in nearby Castelfalfi.

Flight plan:

Flight 2L8362 23/10/2020 ZRH 09:00 FLR 10:10
Flight 2L8363 25/10/2020 FLR 18:00 ZRH 19:15

Flight and hotel packages are available from CHF 625 (city break only) and CHF 845 (includes golf trip). They are available to book now on helvetic.com/popup-flights or on our travel partner site infinitigolf.ch. All destinations are served by the flagship of the Helvetic Airways fleet, the ultra-quiet and eco-friendly new generation Embraer E190-E2.

With its POP-UP flights, Helvetic Airways offers Swiss and international clients a unique selection of top destinations, in compliance with proven hygiene conditions and with seats available for last-minute booking. The Swiss regional airline also guarantees maximum flexibility in the event that restrictions affect travel.

Swiss regional airline Helvetic Airways provides a range of short- and medium-haul air services from various Swiss airports. At least six Helvetic Airways Embraer E190-E2s and E195-E2s are being operated in winter 2023/24 and summer 2024 on behalf of Swiss International Air Lines in summer 2023 under a long-term wet-lease agreement.

The Helvetic Airways workforce numbers over 510 employees. The company also has its own maintenance hangar and operation at Zurich Airport, which is further home to its corporate head office. The airline offers innovative part-time employment models to its cockpit and cabin personnel. For its cabin attendants these include ‘Ski&Fly’, ‘Fly&Study’ and the fully flexible ‘Fly your way’ model. Details of current vacancies at Helvetic will be found at career.helvetic.com.
