Helvetic Airways launches Bristol-Zurich Service and announces the summer 2012 schedule
NEW: Non-Stop flight in winter 2011/12 to Bristol
Bristol Airport is located just eight miles from South West England’s principal city, Bristol, and fifteen miles from the historic city of Bath. Bristol is equally attractive for both, the business and leisure traveller and offers an excellent starting point for trips to Bath and the coastlines of Devon and Cornwall. The direct Bristol service provides businesses across the region with a convenient link to Switzerland, saving time spent on surface journeys to airports outside the South West.
Bruno Jans, CEO of Helvetic Airways said: "With flights to Bristol, we develop our service in an economically strong region of the British Isles, providing many business travellers with a fast connection to Zurich. For Swiss tourists Bristol Airport is an ideal starting point for individual trips".
Shaun Browne, Aviation director at Bristol Airport, said: "Zurich is a key business destination, and this direct link means that the South West is once again connected to this globally important financial centre. It also enables the region to market its attractions to Swiss tourists, for whom the UK currently represents great value for money".
Summer schedule 2012From Zurich daily flights operate to Bari (Apulia) and twice a week to Brindisi and Rostock. In midsummer, flights will serve Lamezia Terme twice a week. From Bern flights to Palma de Mallorca will be offered twice a week and once a week to the southern Italian destination Brindisi as well as Catania and Olbia.
Within the next few weeks further destinations will be listed.
Tickets can be purchased via www.helvetic.com and go on sale today. All flights will be launched in the current GDS within the next days.
