VIVE LA FRANCE!
Helvetic Airways to fly to Bordeaux in summer 2014
From May 2014, Helvetic Airways will be connecting the cities of Zurich and Bordeaux , making the west coast of France easily accessible by direct flight from Zurich for the very first time. With flights scheduled for Thursdays and Sundays, travellers will be able to enjoy short and week-long breaks in Bordeaux and the holiday region of Aquitaine.
Bordeaux and the Aquitaine region together make a highly diverse yet quiet tourist destination. Whether you’re into gourmet restaurants (wine and fine food), sport (sailing, golfing, surfing or cycling) or culture (the old town of Saint-Émilion), the region has something for everyone.
Pascal Personne, CEO of Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport, says:
“I’m full of nothing but praise for the opening of this route! Thanks to Helvetic Airways, the Swiss economic metropolis Zurich will be more closely linked with another economic metropolis: the city of Bordeaux.
Bordeaux’s remarkable architecture (UNESCO World Heritage site), its gastronomy and, of course, its wine make Bordeaux one of the most attractive cities in Europe. France’s second largest convention city also stands out for its 250km of beautiful sandy beaches, endless marked cycle routes and countless historic sites.”
Flights to Bordeaux are now available for booking at www.helvetic.com. All summer destinations will be activated on www.helvetic.com and in the GDS in the next few days.
