Face masks now required on all Helvetic Airways flights
The corresponding ordinance entered into effect on Monday 6 July and stipulates that face masks must be worn on all Swiss public transport. To ensure continuous health protection to and from Switzerland, Helvetic Airways has also adopted the new ordinance and now requires travellers to wear a face mask aboard any Helvetic Airways aircraft. The new requirement comes into effect today, is valid until further notice and applies to all flights and all passengers.
Helvetic Airways encourages its passengers to wear their own protective mask that covers both the mouth and the nose. Masks must be worn when boarding, during the flight and while deplaning. Children under six and persons who cannot wear a mask for medical reasons are exempted from the new provisions.
Helvetic Airways further advises its passengers to continue to follow the hygiene recommendations issued by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health. All specific information regarding travelling by air in these COVID-19 times will be found on the Helvetic Airways website at www.helvetic.com/en/covid-19.
